AG Advokat participates in pro bono work that combats spread of COVID-19

AG Advokat is a proud pro bono supporter of tech company Ombori’s newly launched queuing system for stores to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Groceries, pharmacies, and other stores around the world need to keep operating despite the global pandemic. Reducing the risk of infection both in stores and in queues outside stores by using social distancing is a major priority for them. To address this urgent need, Ombori is releasing Ombori Grid Queues, developed in collaboration with Microsoft.

Queues allows stores to control the number of people within the store and reduce the number of people waiting in line using a virtual queuing system. Users have been offered a free of charge license to Ombori Grid Queues and Microsoft Azure in order to facilitate for companies under financial pressure to accommodate to the challenging situation at hand.

AG Advokat has supported Ombori with adapting Ombori’s terms and conditions to fit the pro bono set up in order to maximize the support that Queues can provide to the global society.

“We think that this is a great initiative from Ombori, and we are pleased to be able to contribute with our expertise on a pro bono basis in order for Ombori to release the queuing system on short notice. Digital tools such as this will be of much use in increasing social distancing in and around stores,” says Michael Nevinson, associate at AG Advokat, who together with Christian Hybbinette, partner at AG Advokat, has participated in the project.
